Even these, THE SMOOTHEST of all POSITIVE DISPLACEMENT PUMPS have pressure disturbance,
which are normally not important, but when they are connected to piping systems that were not designed, will cause pulsation.
The source of the DISTURBANCE, that is magnified into pulsation by poor piping design, is from HERE: GO TO Lobe Pump Page - color schematic connected to a no moving parts, no bladder to gas up, for foam to degrade, WaveGuard H.O.
The very last point, at the end of the port slot, as the vane sweeps over it, a high pressure "blip" occurs. The final full "meshing" of the gear tooth tries to compress some almost totally trapped liquid, to a very high pressure. The decompression escapes back through the gear tolerance gap, that makes a pressure spike Lobes nest into each other so finely that each makes a squirt from the valley between the lobes.
