2) Your (heart) pump and the 400 meters quick title label

When you were sweet 16, and did it in 60 seconds --- your (veins and arteries) pipes were dilatable elastic.
So you won because your heart was enabled to work, by pipe elasticity, in those days.
When we were lucky enough to die dreaming of winning "in bed with out boots on" and the "quack" comes around and clocks us out — "dropped off the twig from natural causes". All that is being implied — is, our pump got tired because out pipes got stiff.

A pump has to do it extra hard to accelerate all the liquid in the full length of the rigid pipe, just to suck or to blow any at all.

This need for pressure (HEAD) to accelerate the mass of the liquid for the full length of the pipe system is called Acceleration Head.
Do for your system, what the creator did for us all -- prevent acceleration head, put some elasticity (like a pulsation preventor) in the piping system, so that the pump won't be able to generate excess pressure pulses.
As the pump can't feel the hardness of the pipe system, the system will not generate pulsation in the first place. That is why "DAMPERS" are system "pulsation preventors".

(Gas springs - designed tooled and made in the USA are still springs, they don't "dampen" anything.
If a pulse already existed, they would bounce it right back at you, so you may confuse yourself - if you think of them as "dampers")

4) FLOW - THRU

Would you buy your car from this salesman?

Perhaps you would want the flow to go thru the filter, in the hope of removing the "dirt".

So, when you want to remove this sort of "dirt" - you might believe the only PULSE filter to order - frequency verses time chart

- is at least the one that has an "IN" connection AND an "OUT" connection, for the disturbances to flow through - - - so that they will TRULY be cleaned up for you.

5) Pulsation

WHAT IS HAPPENING?
How ever little the force is ---

lets call the force a pulse.

--- if the instant in time at which forces/pulses reoccur (even minutely), is the same instant as the last pressure pulse wave comes flying back ---

--- Then you will have the pulsation level going higher & higher.
(The pulse flies back by the way at approx. 3,300 MPH in liquid or 750 MPH in air and of course somewhere in between with a high pressure N2 pre-filled bottle in the system)

SO, Pulsation depends on PIPE SYSTEM RESPONSE.

The partial opening and closing, (modulation) of flow or pressure controllers, and the beat of "Back Pressure" valves, and swing checks, is more likely to cause system pulsation than a pump.


What to do:

1st Choice: Make the pipe a smaller diameter - make it dissipate - let a little Delta P, or pressure drop stop the wave coming back so hard.

2nd Intercept - get between the pulse (however small it is) and the system pulse response - (the pulse coming back) with an WAVEGUARD

3rd Use an True Thru-Flow, multi-connection, on that was designed as a pulse preventor.
